Automated marketing – an SEO wet dream come true

The internet has always been about sharing information.  For people like myself, that can often be difficult.  When you write content like I do with this blog, you want to get the word out on just about everything you post.  This is similar for anyone who hosts a corporate blog that they use to drive traffic to their business, or SEO copywriters that provide article marketing and similar services to drive traffic.  Media sharing is your best friend, and social media & bookmarking sites are the goldmine if the internet when it comes to spreading content in a viral manner.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could find something that would automate the process for you…that doesn’t SUCK?

It looks like it’s here.

How would you feel if you had the ability to harness the voting, social bookmarking and tweeting power of hundreds of people for every piece of content you put online?  Would you perk a little if it were automated?  This is something that marketing and SEO agencies salivate over on the net.  The thought of reducing your physical workload in marketing from 90% of your time down to 10% of your time is something that would make most consultant pee themselves with delight.  I know I almost did.

Too much information?

I’m involved in network online called SYNND that’s bringing up a compelling concept.  It runs off a system based entirely on credits.  When you spend time on the network promoting the campaigns and content of other members then you earn credits.  Each action you take earns you one credit – digging a story, retweeting a tweet, bookmarking a page on a social bookmarking site, commenting and voting.

You’d think the entire thing would be clunky, cumbersome and a massive time consumer but the web interface actually simplifies the process of earning credits for your account.  I’ve always been a fan of simple.  You don’t even have to login to each site to enter information.  Select a task and it gets sent to the automated handler and it takes care of the rest.

This system is almost completely hands-free.  It’s extremely simple to earn credit, plus you earn 500 credits a month with the lowest level of basic membership.

“AHA!” you say “I knew there was a membership catch!”  Yes, indeed.  The service actually offers a $1 free trial for 14 days in which you can test drive the SYNND system.  I’ve used it though on my blog here to show you just how effective it is.

I typically see average numbers of traffic, nothing amazing, but it’s enough to keep me writing.  On one of my most recent posts regarding Nestle debacle, I decided to try bouncing the content into the SYNND system.  Even with what I know about synnd (I did develop the system) the result just about floored me, and prompted me to talk off the ears of anyone who would listen.  Here’s a pic of the traffic stats after I used SYNND to market a single post.

How’s that for wow?

The network does have some quality control rules that keep people from submitted anything and everything.  It breaks everything up into three different campaigns.

  • Syndication campaign – anything you want promoted on sites like Digg, Mixx or Reddit.  These are sites where you can vote up content to increase the visibility of the content.  You can only target non-promotional stuff in this regard, because I guarantee you that regular users of sites like Digg aren’t going to tie themselves to content that is spammy garbage.
  • Bookmarking campaign – This is less restrictive about submissions and content and like any kind of bookmarking is designed to build backlinks for SEO purposes.  As with any kind of backlink building, you need to spend a little time spinning your titles, descriptions and tags so that your submissions are unique.
  • Twitter campaigns – This is a great way to get your tweets spread across the net and retweeted by other SYNND members.  Like syndication, they can’t be promotional.

SYNND covers 8 popular social media sites but it wouldn’t be long before more are added as they get popular.

  • Twitter
  • Faves
  • Jumptags
  • Mixx
  • Folkd
  • Reddit
  • Searchles
  • Digg

Just from the result of one post, it’s pretty obvious that the concept works when put to practice, especially if you’ve got some good content that people will latch onto.  If you’re looking for a way to help your content go viral, SYNND really is a great network that’s not just about automation but about bringing people together into a social circle that WORKS.

If you can do what I did with a $1 trial, imagine what a regular membership would do for backlinks, SEO and traffic to your site?
